Ok.... so.... anyway to prevent them when you hit the gym hard?

I just started working out extra hard to actually gains some size, and already in the last 2 weeks I noticed some new stretch marks on my biceps, shoulder/chest area....

What do you guys do? Is there anything a guy can do?

ANyone try creams maybe BEFORE the workout to try and "warm up" the skin??

Hi buddy,

Lori told me you need a Vitamin E Oil or Cream that you have to apply before the work out. She also told me there is a special cream that she can get to help you out. I forgot what it was called.

Let me know. I will pick one up for you.

I cover my entire body with vasaline and roll around in the tub for like an hour :D

Kidding. Vit E Gel works wonders when you apply it when it's just forming ( red and pinkish lookin)

wear them with pride man :D .

moisturizers help a little i think, so does tanning. the purple coloration will go away after time but the marks will be there for life.

Moisurize, and make sure you are properly hydrated. Dehydration makes for non-elastic skin.

To prevent stretch marks you should do around 15-30mins cardio and then stretch
and then work out
this was how i was taught back in high school hahhaa
with my fitness teacher soo yea
thats how it was explained to me

I've personally never had a problem with stretch marks, however here are a few other threads where it was discussed:

I've been using vitamin e cream twice a day since i started that thread. I've also been in the gym consistently since then. I can say that it hasn't really done anything to help the stretch marks. At the same time, i'm not too concerned about it anymore.
