When spring comes around ive got a serious question to answer? what to do about my ride?

im either going to get a brand new bike (cbr600rr, Gsx-R600) and keep the audi, probobably still do it up. (already have rims, suspension and a few performance goodies)

or

should i sell the Audi and pick up either a
- Honda S2000
- BMW Z3
- Nissan 350Z

i plan on spending under 30 G notes, and ill have the cash so its just a matter of deciding what the hell to do

i just want to hear some peoples opinions just incase i havent thought of any benifits/ disadvantages to both sides.
just shoot your opinions guys

imo i think the 350z or the s2000 would be nice. Your audi is cool too. maybe you should stick with it or try out the other cars first.

depending on how much your into bikes, should help you decide.... Since I was without a bike for a few yrs (and hated it) I spent more time on cars and of course more money.. But now that I have a bike again, I feel refreshed almost, knowing its fast, sure you can spend money on them like anything else, but you can be happy with the bike alone for speed, and then have the car for comfort, and enjoyable rides, when not on the bike... but thats just one option...And if you get to the point where your car is so nice that you want to store it for the winter, then you need another crappy old car to drive around, then your without a nice car and a bike for half the year....:thumbsdow

I have had an s2000 and currently own a 350z

s2000
-drop top so super fun
-high redline, again very fun but means you have to drive it like a maniac to get any torque
-handling and ride very stiff so, again fun but not great for everyday
-interior comforts lacking (seat heater, nice stereo)
-overall a great car, i'd get another but probably be after a 2004 for the 2.2L engine with more torque, you're not gonna get one for 30k though

350z
-heavier, slightly sloppier car overall
-way better as an everyday driver
-doesn't look alike a "girl's car" at all, haha
-lots of upgrade options
-faster

One more thing, I wold go s2000 if it was not a daily driver, but the 350z for damn sure if you're gonna be driving it everyday.

Heavy yes, but check the 0 to 60 times on both cars, the Z even though heavier overtakes the s2000 easy so how can you cal it underpowered, if anything the s is underpowered, a 50K+ sports car that has a tough time cracking the 6 sec mark 0-60

350Z gets my vote! It's just a better car suited for our weather and everyday use. It looks good, great power, not to mention tonnes of aftermatket potential

The S2000 is a tough car to live with on a daily basis. It is an exceptional gem in terms of performance but it's not for everyone.

The Z3 is old, forget about that one.

i would though :P there is a 99 m3 in edmonton... for 28gs would be considered old school still though

i think i have it narrowed down to the 350Z and S2000... only thing that would make me reconsider is if i found a M-Z3 for a killer deal

lol now i say gl with that one :P, if i had to pick from your choices, i'd problably get the 350z. both cars are nice, but i think the 350z is just nicer looking car when done right

for everyday... 350z.... s2000 is a very rough ride!!
i love my s2000 .. its my favorite car
i use it everyday... but sometimes it gets annoying because it doesnt have any trunk space... it has no traction control
350z is better for calgary weather
and everyday use

with practice the s2000 can be a everyday car

but just driving top down on those hot days is awsome!!!
i wonder if you can find a 350z vert for around 30k?

yeah ive found a few 350z's in the east for around 27 Gnotes....i really like the S2000's just because some of the features... covertible is hard to beat and id rather have a great handling car over a car with straight line speed

Here is my advice.

I have owned the following
-2001 BMW Z3 3.0
-2001 Audi TT 225hp Roadster
-And my buddy (4doorj) has an s2000.

Every single time I wish I had bought an s2k. I even almost bought a 350z.

The s2k looks are amazing when modded and the handling is amazing!

350z as a daily driver...it just seems a tad bit more practical...

if ur gonna get a z, u ever consider a g35?

AllGoNoShow
01-23-2006, 02:37 PM
If your looking at 350z why not G35c?

I have no experience with any of the cars but I'd choose G35 or Z3 or M3/5 over the S2K or 350z

EDIT: shit a minute too slow :P

+1 for S2k. I like it better because it is a little more raw than the Z.

Seems like you're liking the convertables ... did you ever consider the new Miata? I test drove it the other day and I find it quite nimble. Corners like it's on rails.

The other choices are great too. what about winter? The Audi's kick ass in the snow, no? Personally, I'd keep the Audi and get a bike (did you see the new R6? HOLY JEEBUS!)
