I just got back from the shop... finnally got my tint done and cold air installed!

I gotta say it looks amazing... i got 35% done all the way around and the intake is amazing... the sound is so deep and loud, and before there was some hesitation when i stepped on the gas now there is none...

since i dont have a digital camera ill have to take some pics and get them developed before i can post em

Uhhhhhhhhhhh thats not a cold air intake, you have a SRI. Probably makes a lot of noise but does little for performance :thumbsdow (can't get major gains from an intake anyways on most cars)

You're not getting cold air from underneath the car, so it's not a cold air intake

SRI's are much better than CAI's, IMO. CAI's are more restrictive (more tubing), cost more, have more fittiment problems, and the intake temp difference is minimal. Not to mention you have NO chance of hydrolocking with an SRI.

ehhh whatever, I don't really care....I am just saying that really you should not say it's a CAI, SRI would be the correct term

What does "SRI" stand for?

My Buddy just put intake(no new tubing, just cone) on his GTI VR6 tonight, and it is ever loud! but he says it feels the same, not faster at all.

As with most bolt-ons, your ass-dyno is just not sensitive feel the difference. A lot of people THINK they can feel a difference but I think most of it is the placebo effect or because of the difference in sound :dunno:

Where did you get your tint done? I want to tint my T-tops white but not completely white, I want to be able to see through them still.

Thanks
