Hey, I had a 350w Kenwood powering a 10 inch MTX, and my amp just blew.

I was looking at futureshop and the first amp that popped up was the Bazooka BAL1150 1-Channel, and I was wondering if it is any good. its only 170..

Or, how much am i looking to spend just to power my 1 sub?

I thought it was my alternator first, because i turned it up over half power on the amp, it would cut out, but i showed my dad today because we were gonna go buy a new alternator, and something popped and it started to puff smoke.. haha

That Bazooka looks a little too weak to power a sub.

Go on Ebay and buy a Kicker ZR360. you can get them for a song and a dance... like $100 for a 600 watt RMS amp is a damn good deal. the ZR series are ultra high-current amps that have amazing transients. Since they're getting a little old in age you can pick them up for pennies on the dollar.
I have a bud thats selling his ZR1000.. actually he has about 4 of them. They'll do about 1300 watts RMS into 4 ohms.. and do up to 1800 for short bursts. about $500 each he wants.
He has a Zr240, Zr360 and Zr600 if the 1300 is too much.

Also I know of a Power Acoustic.. its a PA A3000DB, Rated @ 2300 @ 1ohm, 1800 @ 2ohm, and 1100 @ 4ohm, will run 0.5 ohm daily. Awesome amp,
he wants $500 for that. Its a wicked amp.

I have two amps that I may be selling. They're also 2300 watt RMS amps.
Mine are Modded Earthquake D2's. They'll do 2300RMS into 1 ohm.. or 1800rms into 2ohms. (monoblocks like the PA one)
If your interested.

Dont get the Bazooka, its a piece of crap. Those things overheat like there is no tomorrow, and you'll end up just frying another amp. If your on a budget, and dont need much to power your sub, get a Rockford P200.2. They bridge to 200 watts RMS and power nicely. I'm pretty positive they are under $250

Come check out the MTX Thunder Amplifiers, they are very good bang for your buck, and they are Fan cooled too.

I haven't had a single customer that wasn't happy with them.
