plug and play. i had a JDM climate control and guage cluster on my old EG. its straight plug n play. the only difference of coarse is that they glow amber in color. :)

i just got the stock climate control out, the plugs dont match the jdm one, and the piece that slides to adjust how much heat comes out is on a cable and the jdm one doesnt have it!

really? strange, mine was direct fit. however it was from a previous owner parting out his car. maybe he replaced the plugs and cable were done by himself. if thats the case, im sorry to have misinformed you.

can you take the cable off your usdm one? as for the plugs, i dont understand why they'd be different , any pics?

next to impossible to use it in a usdm car. most people just swap the faceplate from the jdm unit.

I have a bud that did it on his 92 lude. He got it all working. Seemed like alot of work and time. he had to dremel and mod a few stock pieces. Good luck

Jesus, what can be so "cool" about a "JDM" climate control that it is worth all this effort?

it is NOT plug n play. this is one mod i fear to attempt. Climate control means actually having additional sensors in ur air/vent system so that the climate controller can adjust the hot/cold automatically. There were some instructions on the net somewhere, but after briefly reading thru it, i gave up on the idea of trying to figure out all the wiring and needing to rip out the whole dash to get at the wiring and adding of the new wiring and sensors.

not to give you a scare, but its definitely A LOT tougher than say installing a new deck.

And is it not backwards hence slightly irritating to use? That's JDM too, I should pick that mod up. :D [/smartass]
