Hey all, was just wondering where you learned to play your electric guitars. I know guitarworks offers lessons, but was just wondering who else is out there, and the cost of lessons.

I want to find an instructor who knows how to teach intermediate to advanced techniques.

I get tips from other guys that are more advanced than me (which is like everyone haha), and learn those tips on my own. Try to jam with as many people as you can, that helps a lot too. I've personally never took lessons, and play ok for never learning properly hehe.

Don't take lessons, it stunts your growth as a player... just use like a guitar tab site, download tabs for songs you like, and go by ear.

i just do what b_t suggested, i play my guitar from songs i hear that i like. I find tabs for it and just start playing it until I get it. Gets frustrating at times but.. you can't give up.
