lounges ??

hey All,
Quick question.. Does anyone know of any good lounges in the NW/ city centre area, where it's very casual (like sofa's and stuff) decent background music and an ok menu.. need a nice quiet hangout type place for an office get together!

Fuel Lounge in Bankers Hall beside Earls is a pretty good place to have an office get together.

but its not a great lounge for an office get together...

Vicious circle is 1st and 11th Ave, it's a nice casual place

Fuel is good as well and even Metropolitan grill on Stephens Ave has some comfy seats by the front windows

Been there a few weeks ago and they've got new chairs/tables and got rid of the projector screen for TV. Now they have a plasma.

Friend's friend (male) didn't know which one to go into. I told him it's the one with the cross/plus sign.

He came back red faced and shit-ragged me out since he took a dump and found out it girls were coming in to the washroom.. hahahah..

The look on his face would have been priceless since he said there were some girls inside (guess he was alone at first) and stared at him when he left.. hahaha

Girls get confused too. I've seen/heard girls opening the men's door and then giggle/laugh about wrong washroom.

I can't seem to find a phone number or address for them. Was told it was pretty good

holy.. forgot about this thread...
we ended up going to vicous circle. :thumbsup: for the sofas,music and plasma TV.. it was pretty pricey though.. all in all we had a good time though!

except the service sucks. u gotta order your next drink when they bring the first. I dont know how many bar tenders they have working on a friday night but both times i was there i waited 10-15 mins for my drink. we were a table of three.

i mean the waitress was fine just it took forever to get a drink.

I like the Well, Calgary needs many more lounges like it. Reminds me a bit of Mercury (which now moved next to the Ship, haven't checked out the new location yet). $6 beers as expected, no cover always busy, tiny inside, good house music, too loud for an office get together. You enter from the alley north of 17th, the Kyoto entrance.

I'd also recommend the Met on 8th (great Ahi Tuna appy) and Fuel. Lucky's (smoky) & Ming are nice lounges as well. A new one opened next to Vicious but I forget the name. I'm not too fond of anything that opens in that area though.
