What do you guy's think about the new BMW 330Ci & the Z4?

I just visited my friend who works at the new BMW dealer up in the ranchland area N.W Calgary. He used to work at LONE STAR MB where i got my C230 from. But now he is trying to sell me a BMW.

They had the New Z4 which i don't know about. It is $64K. They also have the 330Ci 2 door coupe. Both have 3L engines with 225 Hp.

He is giving me a good deal on them but the problem is i just got my C230 like year ago. I still like it.

I am confused now what i should do. Should i sell or trade in the MB C230K for a BMW or keep my car and do it up?

Need your opinion? Thanks...

When the weather clears up, drive both of them. If either of them impress you way more than your C230, I'd say go for it. You only live once.

ROFL! 64k for a z4? I wouldn't pay 40k for it! Ac schnitzer works wonders with it though, they actually made it look good.
The new 330ci is pretty cool though.

I'm pretty sure the last low model z series was 40k so I don't see why there'd be such a price hike, that car is very unimpressive.

Personally I'd stick with the mercedes you have.

But like FiveFreshFish says test drive them and if you like one of them better then your mercedes then get it.

Why not the 330 cab? Now that is a stunning car, good for year round, practical, powerful, styling, luxurious, it is sooo money! haha :D

Your current car is really nice already. I love the C-coupe. As for the Z4, you are talking about the 3.0L loaded for 64K right? I wouldn't go for the Z4. I test drove it and it handled great but I think everyone on this forum will tell you that they don't like the exterior looks of the Z4. As well, in my experience I felt that it lacked torque but I drove the auto.

On the other hand, a 330 Cabriolet is beautiful!!:love: I'd say either keep your current car, get the 330ci, or trade your car in for a C32 AMG coupe!

hmmm...I heard that it was supposed to be a 2004 model but I'm unsure :dunno: . I noticed that they introduced the C320 coupe model this year though.

I'm pretty sure they would introduce a AMG model.....I think it is only a matter of time......manufacturers tend to wait a few years before introducing the top model......

I think the Z4 is a horrible mistake. It's just as gay as the Z3. The 330Ci still is a nice car. Especially the 330i Performance (sedan).

a mistake for that price you mean... if it was cheap it would of been great, I mean the Z4 looks good and handles good enuff but I agree with the lack of power. I rather get a rx8 and supercharge it with that kind of money flowing around.

If i were you, i'd test drive them both, and see what you think.
In some angles, to me personally, the Z4 looks like it got hit in the face with a shovel, but in other angles, and colors, it looks stunning. When i was at the new beamer dealership in Crowfoot, i was in the underground parkinglot, and they had a black z4 by an X5 w/ 20's...and the z4 just looked amazing.
The 300ci on the other hand...Is Hella nice in almost everyway possible, espically the M sport :D

I'd test drive them both, and think about about what caters to your needs the most. Cause the C230 is still a really nice, brand new car...

I'd put some money down on it "just in case". MB has covered AMG models for every car except the C coupe, with the introduction of the C320 coupe, one would think the AMG version is just around the corner...

I hated the Z4 when it came out, but the exterior styling has grown on me. But I still think its underpowered for its price.

I wonder if we will get the 330Ci with the SSG tranny (http://www.bmwclub.org.hk/news/0024.htm)?

For those who aren't familiar, it's a simpler cheaper version of the M3's SMG.
