Opel is a GM company. What did you expect?

GT = Sky

plus the Opel Speedster was around first and it is super-obvious that the Sky is a direct descendant of that car. So its more like Saturn shut down by opel.

Opel Speedster = Vauxhall VX220 which share the same chassis from Lotus Elise = Awesome

Opel GT = Saturn Sky = Pontaic Solstic base on GM's newly designed Kappa platform = can't even beat a Miata, have nothing on Elise.

2 completely different lines. That's why Opel and Vauxhall won't reuse the names for the replacements.

lol, sounds like you think that's an easy task. You'll be hard pressed to find any roadster in it's price class that rivals the Miata.

The Miata's been around for a long time, so Mazda's had a long time to get it to where it is today. The Solstice has been around for what, several months and it's already as good as it is. As Pontiac's first attempt in the roadster market, they did pretty awesome --- this one's hot, but I can't wait to see the future Solstices.
