hello. good place to do engine swap for supra? i noticed the people who charge 500 or 1000 could give good service or bad service.

I pretty much got screwed at lube place they didnt put the right gasket on the oil drain plug and my new engine deveopled a knock. i went back there and obviously they admitted the problem and fired that person (as a result of other peoples cars too)

and they insist that no oil in the engine wouldnt cause it to knock. well naturally someone doesnt check the oil level right atfter the oil change then about a month later after reviing about 2700 rpm i hear a knock. it check the oil level theres no oil. i add oil. i dont hear it anymore. then in hte morning i look under the car and bam i notice its coming out hte drain plug.

so went back there, the change the oil gasket free of charge. but over time it got louder and louder. (its a top lube place i wont name in good faith for now) got the run around (and continued to bring in 5 other cars regularly)

so anyway. i am not the person who complains or has time to do court stuff and claims. so anyway thast pretty much it.

I did some readying on supra forums they all insist that the 7m-gte engine will not last without oil or any time. i do believe this and knew this before, but like i said after having a oil leak free engine or almost 2 years someone doesnt check the oil level right ater the oil change, they actually showed me the level before i left and besides it takes some time or the oil to all leak out.

so what do i do now? i bought a jdm engine from YOKO tire (near edmonton trail), or 1500 3 years ago it was garbage. not even rebuildable.

so what do you beyond people suggest ?

Import Car Service Specialists

This is the original company that Reg Reimer worked for. These guys are the best for the 7M. Give them a call, check out the shop and talk to the people. Their rates are reasonable, and expertise is un-parallel.
