Turned ON only a few times to back stuff up (2 min at the most each
time). Clear plastic film still on surface of enclosure.

Correct me if I am wrong but all I have to do is enclose an extra hard drive (say 40gb or so), and plug in the usb to myu computer and it automatically becomes a usb drive?
