2g's could probably pay for your insurance only.

what are you looking for? economical, reliable, style?

lilboykorea

mostly reliability, but a little performance would be nice,
i was thinking
86 corolla, probably not the best condition
found a rx-7 for 1500 on canadatrader, but it says it needs some work...

I payed about that money for my 86 RX7 with a rebuilt engine, so it's possible to find a fun car for not much money. There was lots of MR2s going for under $2k when I was shopping for cars, plus first generation GTIs, jetta GLIs, turbo Dodges, etc etc. Lots of solid fun cars to be had for that much money.

Try looking for one of the older probes, mx-3's, or daytona turbos if you want some push. Those cars will spank most of the newer imports and they are dirt cheap.

If you want reliability, hit up an 88 lude or civic. Most ludes that year are going for about 2k

either way, the car is expensive to maintain and will cost u a ton in repairs/maintenance

You can pick up a Rabbit for like $800 bucks ... and maybe put $500 bucks into it and it will more-then-likely run great ... i got my '85 Jetta for $1950, 144 000 K's on it (original Engine) and other then a few small things, (starter) it's been good to go. ... but most people don't like the stylin' of an old VeeDub ...

I've got an ae86 that ill be selling for a little over or maybe around 2g's in about a month..the car has been great to me, the only parts Ive replaced have been because of normal wear and tear. it has a new: clutch
alternator
spark plugs
sparplug wires
clutch slave cylinder
soon to have: new clutch master cylinder
new brakes
new driver side door
new front fenders

it includes: JDM blue top 4age engine with 70K
sony cd player
extra set of michelin tires

The interior is flawless and the exterior is in good shape as well except for some rust forming that is hidden under paint on the rear fenders. The car is an 1987 toyota corolla gts coupe which I may or may not be tinting out as well

A good MK1 or MK2 VW is a good reliable choice, those who knew my GLI Jetta I could beat the piss out of it and it still ran.

They all had the 1.8L 8V motor which is next to indestructable, and parts for them are cheap if you do need replacement.

man, i looked around on canadtrader for you and couldn't come up with anything. but if someone will cut you a deal on here that should be your best bet for a tight car for $2000.
