That lude was sold guys, i found a new one though, didnt want to make a new thread. Its an 88 si, 2.0 FI, 191 000 k, no rust on the body. I actually drove it too, clutch/tranny are great. Engine is very clean. Only probs was the passenger window is broken and left driver side power window doesnt work. Hes asking 1500. What do u guys think? thanks again

lots of kms but if the engine is well taken care of and the body is in good shape, still probably a bit much though, considering the mileage

isnt that 4ws a pos and expensive to fix? Seems high to me for a 300000km car.

Even at $2200 I'd still get it thoroughly checked, including a compression test done, along with a full undercarriage check.....With that many kms, you might find some major rust holes in the floor/body.....

if your getting a car for just the summer I don't think its to bad of a deal if you get it for $2,200. but ya 300,000km is alot. crap i think 230,000km is alot on a car.

Finally someone who has some fucken common sense.

Just check www.buysell.com. That same car, with less than 200k, is going for ~$2000. They aren't worth anywhere near $3000 anymore...

Why must Honda owners think their cars are made of gold? I saw a 88 Civic DX go for $3500 the other day :nut:

But I'm with Jeff, chances are if the car has over 300K kms on it, things will start needing replacing soon. But you never know as I did have over 385K kms on my Camry when I let it go. :dunno:

Yeah! my buddy has one like that with about 250 K on it and things go wrong constantly. It is like a money pit.

I think that's to much to ask for that car.

What are you talking about? Any good mechanic can fix it. And it's not like it's a huge factor. They don't go all the time. They are sweet to have too.

With higher mileage, you can't expect the car to be in a tip top condition, but if it's well taken care of, it might be a good deal. Check for repaints from the body and such (he could have covered the rusted parts with it). Just get a 110 point inspection from a Honda dealership, I think it's 80 bucks for that so you will know what's wrong w/ it.

Trust me, even if the car has a high kilometers, it doesn't mean that it will be rusted all over and the parts will start to fall of and break.
