Question about recalls?

I am interested in purchasing a vehicle and while searching on the internet for more information about this car I found out that it is a recall. I contacted the seller to get the VIN# and emailed it to bmw to see if theres anything wrong. They said that there are no outstanding recalls on this specific vehicle.

Is it safe to trust recalls?
Can I trust this car even though its been recalled?

any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

A recall is a mandatory repair at the dealers expense. Just about every car has one or two recalls on it. Don't worrya bout it.
