On Crowchild between 17th and 26th ave

Ummm... you do realize a semi crashed into the second part of the bridge a month or 2 ago right? That's why they took it down

it got hit by a truck.

EDIT - Damn, Leah beat me to it.

That section of the bridge got taken out last summer by a truck. I'm assuming they just left that out for the time being.

You should be thankful they're not working on it so your drive down Crowchild today wasn't slowed by construction.

Looks like a truck might have hit that. Anyone have a link?

My guess is that a truck hit it.

I had no idea that a truck hit it....

Maybe I need to watch the news more.

Or you could just stop being a nit.

I wonder what sort of factor of safety that walkway would have needed in order to be able to withstand a semi truck hitting it?

OMG, it's a good thing nobody was in the truck when the bridge hit it.

How about you learn some English first. Maybe try learning how not to be a douche while you're at it.

Don't have to, some engineer made a bridge too low, or some other engineer made a truck too high......engineers are too smug to consult other engineers, eh!

Say what?
You're the one who called me a nit...
A douche is really something quite different, and if I have to explain what one is, you're really lost. I'm not certain that it's phyiscally possible for a person to be one.... or if they could be, it would be pretty complicated.

So, perhaps you should think a little bit before you type, and when you're done, translate it to english then post it up here.

He's calling you an idiot for making fun of "Calgary Engineering" because a Semi hit the bridge support and took it down. By the way, it was still standing immediately after the impact, but they took it down because they were unsure of it's stability.

In essence, you are a nit.

I was making fun of a bridge that goes half-way across a road without any barriers up on the bridge itself....

Anyways, I repeat my "Speak English" smiley...

Pronunciation: 'nit
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English nite, from Old English hnitu; akin to Old High German hniz nit, Greek konid-, konis
: the egg of a louse or other parasitic insect; also : the insect itself when young

So, I am an egg of an insect because I made fun of a bridge?

I won't even bother with that, since you seem to only know literal meanings. And since you only take things at its literal meaning, if this is a "typical example" of calgary engineering, what are some other examples?
