COMS 361 or 363

We have to take one or the other. Haskayne people. Which one do you suggest? Any prof better than others?

take coms 363, it's a really easy course, if Hatton is still teaching it, take it. it used to be extremely easy, they've changed it since, but it's still easy, and it's actually a pretty good course

I was orginally in 361, swithed to 363 after 2 classes. 363 is way better if you dont like to speak in front of the class. 361 base mainly on public speaking. Which could be good/bad depends on what kind of person you are. 363 is really easy tho, you write memos, instructions, etc.

I liked coms 363. I don't even know who my prof was, I never had to go to class. I only had to see my TA.

If you wanna take COMS 363 take it during spring/summer. You don't have any tutorials during spring/summer, at least when I took it I didn't.
Yeah and I hear Bryce, and Hatton are super easy.

363, hated it every step of the way but at least it was easy.

I've taken both - 363 was easy, but that was before they changed the format apparantly. When I had it, there was a lecture once a week and a tutorial and lab with a TA. Nobody would go to the lecture, because your entire mark was based on your tutorial/lab performance...I had Vouri, who rocked, btw.

361 was ok; there was definitely a big speaking element, but I dish out the bs like nobody's business so I did ok. There isn't any group work though, which was the main difference between this and 363. Instead, you have more papers to do...
