hey, since im gettin a new amp soon, i hooked my old one up to my 6x9's, but when the car is running they squeal witht the engine noise, so im wondering whats the problem. i hooked up another amp which did the same thing, so im assuming its in the wires. only thing i can think of is that the power and rca cables run together from the front to back of the car. anyone had this problem or how to fix it???

alternator noise

your putting a load on your alternator which is okay but if your going to be running it near full amperage then its time to upgrade the alternator or downgrade the system.

Make sure you run RCA and Power on opposite sides. Also double check your grounds. You can try grounding your deck and amp to the same spot. Also, if you can try another set of RCA's, just lay them accross your seats, to try it and see if the noise goes away before running them properly.
