Grey market import from the US???

My Brother in-law is looking at a S600 Coupe, from the US, the car is a "Grey Import" i.e not sold by Mercedes Benz North America New, but imported and then bought up to FMVSS standards by a registered importer (USA), car is a 100% legal, and has all relevant paperwork etc, he wants to import it back into Canada but not sure if there would be any problems in doing so, Car is on the RIV list of admissable vehicles etc, but just not sure with it not being an official Mercedes North America Car??

Anyone have any experince with this type of situation?

Mercedes-Benz did offer the S600 coupe in Canada, unless it was on a different schedule than the US cars (ie - 1993+ in USA, not until '96 in Canada).

I should mention though, the ZR car is WAAAY over priced, but worth a shot if you can negotiate.
