If you had the money and the chance to buy from one of these manufactures…. which would it be?

Pagani for sure. The koenigsegg is just a macf1 wannabe with no real merit other than huge hp claims.

Pagani... it actually has a charisma, like a Ferrari does, but without a 50 year head start. Horacio's done a DAMN good job of starting a company!

if i was ever fortunate enough to own either...hmm tough call for sure...i'd probably go with the zonda because to me its more of a hardcore performing, no holds barred driving machine

I'd go with the Koenigsegg... tough choice, but:
1) It's faster than the Pagani
2) Pagani's not street-legal in Canada (from what's been said, but I dunno if they changed it or what)

K-car for me :D (I know, sounds odd)

EDIT: And those doors...

If we all bought cars for the doors, we'd all be driving Aston Martins. However, we don't.:D

Yeah the doors look cool, but too bad you will bashing your doors if you park to close to curbs. Someone didn't think too much on the pratical side, just like the silly doors on the Ford GT.

I picked the Panagi. I like Horacio Pagani's history with his involvement with Lamborghini as well as his close association and friendship with Juan Manuel Fangio. Love the cars and the Panagi Zonda F..... ... fastest car around the Top Gear track and the interior is so striking, makes the Koenigsegg CCR look very plain.

I wouldn't mind either, but if I had to choose I'd go with the Zonda. However if I could afford one then I could probably afford both.

The doors on the Ford GT are a homage to the doors on the original GT40. Why did the doors have to have roof cutouts attached, you might ask? Back when the GT40 was dominating LeMans, the races were done with a running start - that is, the drivers lined up on one side of the racetrack and ran to their cars on the far side of the track at the sound of the starting gun. There, they had to jump into their cars, get them started, and go. It was a very dangerous and hectic way to start a race, but it was highly entertaining! Ford knew that the start was a great way to get better race position, so they outfitted the GT40 with roof cutouts to allow the driver to get into the car easier (since it was so low) which gave them a that split second advantage to get better starting positions.

If i had a choice it would be the zonda. I love how that car looks, kinda makes everything else look boring.

Thanks! Already knew that though, just like why the ignition key is on the left side of the steering wheel in Porsche 911s.

The doors seems awfully impratical though, or maybe just seeing Jeremy Clarkson trying to get out of his gives me that perception :)

I'd have to go with the CCR:thumbsup: .

I'd go with the Zonda, but it would have to be the F Roadster, I would go with them due to there history, and from reading up about them, they seem like a more reliable car, but ultimately, it would come down to me driving them around a track and seeing how everything feels and how I sit in the car.

Pagani ... although I consider these both to be kit car builders as they purchase their engines from "real" manufacturers.

I know what you mean, but Pagani is a long way from your typical kit car company:)

meep, wrong. All koenigseggs use a ford V8.

Koenigsegg's engine block is a Ford-derived part (based off the Mustang engine, Cosworth developed IIRC), but the rest of the engine is built entirely by Koenigsegg. It may not be pure Koenigsegg, but it's not like Pagani who just orders engines from AMG and calls it a day.

true, but pagani uses mercedes for a reason; Juan Fangio talked Pagani into it, which in my opinion is much cooler than using a ford block for no reason other than cost. Also, the Pagani 7.3 is not used in any production car anymore, so it's a pretty cool engine anyways, unlike the ford V8.

You didn't seriously call an 800HP engine uncool, did you? Just because it's based on a Ford V8 doesn't make it uncool - it's what you do with it that counts. Getting 800HP is cool in my books any day.

One thing's for sure: Pagani made the exhaust for the Zonda F, not Mercedes.
