Alright so I want to buy a 240SX project car, got some good offers, a couple stand out, common theme is that they are all write-offs and need to be repaired. That is not what I am worried about, mostly I just want to know the process of getting the car a rebuilt title and who I file the paperwork too and who does the inspection, stuff like that.

You need to go to the registry and get the form, take your car to wherever its getting fixed and give them this paper, and they should take care of the rest!
