Maybe people should be expected to know how park themselves first. Are we all honestly that lazy that we need a car to park itself?

I dunno, i still think that 90% of drivers today cant park, nor drive.

And i think also, a drivers licence should be more of a privaledge than a right. Look at Europe for example, some of the best drivers, and that is because its so hard to get a license over there compared to here. Maybe we should have some government funded/provided driving lessons like they do.

But yea, i think this parallel park thing is really gay. Next big thing to come in our society......probably Mcdonalds Delivery.

everything comes out standard first and then they find a way to make it off less work..

examples

5 speed transmission------> automatic transmission
Clutch shifts----------> non clutch shifts (tiptronice and f1 inspired shifting)
manual windows-------------->power windows
manual door locks------------------>power doo locks
keys to open door----------->keyless entry..

and on and on and on and on...

so they just keep finding other ways to make things easier and more accessible.

i think its a good idea for those who dont know how to parrallel park, but for others it seems boring and a waste of time...

thats why we all (most of us car enthusiasts) drive standards.

good thing u added most of us :P

I actually love the idea. Yah sure parallel parking isn't overly hard for some of us, and it is for others. I find it not too bad but someitmes it just takes abit to get it right. What would you not like baout the car controlling distances and speed for you so that you don't curb those new rims or smack that car behind you because you were checking another direction or something?

Simplicity.

yes we are. It's like the doppler cruise control, do we need it, no, do people want it , yes

well if it did that then it would not be released on the market now would it.

the system is in place so that that specific thing does not happen.

damn you have an answer for everything

Is god real?!

Fez_turbo

yes God is real.....he is known as the initial mover. Meaning that at one point in time something had to do something in order for everything to start....and he is the "one" who did it.

even the big bang "as they so like to call it" was initiated by something...that something came from a sequence of events that were initially started by a initial movement made by God.

that is just one view...there are many others..

:thumbsup:

its all just sensors

but what if...the sensors get covered with something...say snow?
wouldnt that mean trouble?

it would just like the sensor picking up a car, it wouldnt be able to find anywhere to park. they would be sensing something to close.

Toyota has had this for awhile now.... :zzz:

i dont think the problem is that it can park for u, its probably that the driver will need to get themselves out of a tight spot after...lol, if u cant parallel park u obviously dont have much of an idea of how big ur car is, and i dont think u'd have a great chance of gettn out of a tiny spot (without scratching anything) that ur car automatically parked in.

lets take the dicussion back from how people cant drive to this system.

That is way cool and the screen involvement as well.

Also, the steering mechanism as well...

Back to how lazy people are, look at benzes cruise control with radar forward to stop you and start you again

That's absolutely brilliant! SImply amazing if you ask me, so much easier for the people who suck at parallel parking, either way its a damn cool feature to have in a car.
