Dan, for me personally unless I was completely bored out of my car I wouldn't get another one.. Although I try to justify a lot of my buying based on practicality and reasonableness.. meanwhile letting myself make a couple stupid purchases throughout the year that's within my financial means with absolutely no justification...

so for me.. I would keep the IS300.. if i was bored and I had money to blow.. then yeah I'd buy a new car..

just adding something...the IS300 is base, so no leather sunroof...the LGT will be loaded. that and the IS300 sucks in winter :)

Buy some winter tires and save yourself $42,000. You can't beat a Lexus for reliability, so it should be good for a long time. Leather can be cold in the winter even with heated seats. I have a moonroof in my car that I think I use a few times a year. I suppose in the end it depends on if you have the extra money, or are willing to spend it for a new car.
