Anyone have a picture of the north pacific ocean. Reason i need a picture with some details on it. See were sitting here me and a buddy arguing about where the borders are. like the usa border , canada border and what not...

ive looked everywhere and can't find a picture with the little dots showing where the borders are...and its really getting us mad!

I have to prove that the canadian border does not go as far as kodiak town ...dam dam dam

Anyone wanting to help 2 idiots drinking beer argueing about something in the middle of the ocean would be helpful.

Thanks

Use Mapquest. The link below will get you into the right area, zoom out to see the border.

Canadian border clearly does not get close.... see the dashed line in mapquest and how it only extends a certain distance from land? That's as far as it goes.

Here's another pic... see the dashed line extending out to sea, there ya go

how is that even possible ...you're telling me that you can only go 100 miles off the coast and then you're in another country's land...like what the hell...

say this i left vancouver in a straight line west ....when would the border come to an end?

It's x amount of kilometers out and you enter 'international waters'. I'm sure google will know the distance.

I'm surprised you are waiting for someone else to do your work when you probably could have found it yourself by now.

Like they said, if you're in the middle of the ocean, you're in international waters. Other than that, there's a reason they call it the 49th paralell.
North of it is Canada, South of it is the USofA. The only exception is around the great lakes.

You'll have plenty of time to research it in jail, or are you waiting for that call too?

Canada doesn't have an internationally recognized border in the arctic. Countires only have legal jurisdiction over 12 nautical miles (22 km) from their shore, and since a lot of the arctic is ice, many countries like the USA and Russia don't recognize Canada's claim to sovernity. So there really is no official border...

this was just in the news recently, harper saying he wants to put ships up north to defend our sovernity.
