Saturday and Sunday were spent at Trout Lake near Revelstoke and it was GREAT!
My Brother did almost all of the action shooting.

I met a guy at the hotel who was shooting for Helly Hanson clothes! He had some wicked shots on his laptop including some snowboarders/skiiers in action.

lol same thing happened to my speedometer in my truck. How much do you have to worry about avalanches? It would be cool to snowmobile to the top with a buddy then snowboard back down

The shots were with a Canon 20D, Canon 70-200F4L, and Tamron 17-35mm for the wide angles.

We all wear transcievers, probes, and shovels but avys are incredibly powerful and most people die of the trauma and crushing forces. If you survive the first part it's asphyxiation if you're not rescued it time.
I was suprised we didn't see more avys with the loaded hills some guys were climbing. I stared a small one on friday but outran it.
I also started wearing chest and back armor.

Great photos, G! How much would it cost for you to spell my name on the side of a mountain? haha!

In yellow? No charge, I can even do it in bold with a name as short as yours.

Speaking of speed, in TL12.jpg I was taking a run from about 1/4km away full throttle all the way to get enough speed to carry the sled thru the air like I wanted it to. It's hard not to let off the throttle as the jump is coming up while doing 95km/h.

What were the avy conditions this past weekend out in Golden anyways??

I was in the backcountry in Banff Yoho area and our avy pit wasn't collapsing until a hard 3 count... Curious to know the difference? :)

We didn't dig a pit but the one slid I did cause was only 4" of fresh slidding off a semi-hard layer.
