Here's what I have:

AMD X2 3800 Dual core proc, runs to 2.7 both cores if needed
DFI SLI Motherboard
2X 512MB Mushkin Redline XP4000. Runs at least 257 FSB at 1.5-2-2-5 timings at only 3.2V. This memory is warrantied for life up to 3.5V. If you'd prefer it, I could put my OCZ Platinum Rev 2 memory (2X512). I personally like the redline better.

2 XGeforce 6800 256MB vid cards. In SLI. Overclock EXTREMELY well.
250GB Samsung Spinpoint drive. Beats up on everything but a Raptor. Brand new.
Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS OEM.
Enermax 465P-VE, manual fan control, dual Fans and 33A on 12V rail.
16X DVD-Burner. BenQ's in there now.
Diskette drive. (yes, I still use it occasionally)
Lian-Li PC6085A Case. Interior Modified slightly for watercooling(not presently in use), but outside is almost bone stock, except for the 4 bank fan controller.

This system has pulled 30413 in 3Dmark01SE and 9958 in 3Dmark05. Presently running WinXP 64 Bit.

Price is just a tiny bit over your magic $1500 mark. If you're actually ready to lay it down, we can talk more.
Processor, MB, HDD, Memory all still under warranty (less than 4 months old)
And no, I'm not parting it at this time. PM me if you have any questions:D

If your budget is 1500 you may want to check out memory express. You can get a good gaming rig for that amount of money and you still get warranty.

Feel free to PM me if you are serious. I build these for a living, and offer warranty as well. For $1500, I can build you a pretty sweet machine. or call me at 286-8251 and ask for chris

I agree-that last computer isn't bad....But running even an Opty at 1.76V is harsh:eek:. Only drawbacks are non-SLI board, single core processor, single video card without shader 3.0 , fairly small Hard drive. Plus it's extra to get a decent case.
It's nice, but these days to be called a high end system, it seems as though you either need SLI or an X1800/1900 or 7800GT/GTX.

Of course, my standards are a bit different than some others:D
