Wow, already?

He may be better off shipping another tranny from the U.S. I know the autos are a dime a dozen on bimmerforums.com, as people swap them out for the 5 spd.

My parents have owned their share of chryslers over the years, and have had their tranny rebuilt. I've found that they never feel the same, although they do their job.

Good opportunity to get your friend into an M3 tranny :D

^ With m3 tranny you need to do much other work, i.e,

-Instrument Cluster
-Engine (Does not bolt up, we are talking e46 e28i.)
-SMGII software
-ECU
-Harness

you are looking at 20 grand right thurr.

To expensive bud!

MITE46 on www.e46fanatics.com has done this,

99 323i

-M3 SMGII Tranny, Engine, Rear End
-M3 Cluster, 06 M5 Steering Wheel
-04 Coupe Front End (bumper, lights)
-M3 Hood (custom)
-Custom Paint
-Carputer
-Cameras
-Custom Alarm

its f-n amazing, all 200 Pages of thread from this guy. 2 years in the making, almost done.
