So i was getting sick of being in debt, and having payments on my car, so i called honda canada finance, found out the how much I would owe to just pay off the car, went and got a certified check, and got it sent through T&T's mail bag straight to canada finance. Whew, feels good gettin all of that debt off my chest!:D

yeah, best thing I ever did when I bought my car.. just got a certified cheque and the rest on credit card because I was going to get the rest in a couple of weeks.. too bad I don't make enough to do that to my house.

It's good when your hard work pays off. Well done!

I gotta say, it's nice not to have to worry about a car payment. I paid off my car almost 2 years ago and been living alot better ever since. It's my mortgage that keeps me stressed these days. Ah well. Congrats man.

congrats man.
Myself, I consolidated a couple of my loans into one at a lower interest rate. So I could pay off my car a full year sooner. Gotta limit how much the stealership takes from me.

^^^Well i was stupid enough to lease, cause i didnt plan on keeping the car forever, but then i realized that the 7.1% rate was a fucking joke, so i used some work money, sold one of my basses (FINALLY), and the last of my savings and poured it over the fire.

Yea luckily I dont have to worry abotu mortgage yet. The only way i could pay for this car is by living at home :(, although im fairly young, so its not the worst thing.

That's how I paid off my car. Living at home, working full time. Easy as hell to save money if you have a decent job and budget.

The house or condo will come soon enough. You know what's wierd. After you buy your own place, cars don't seem so important anymore. Well for me at least... Did I just say that

Well regardless of the lower importance of cars, you still managed to end up with a nice ride ;)

Yea, i wish i couldnt of afforded to live on my own, and buy the car, but its just impossible at this point in my life.

THats great you did that, but I'm sure the amount you put on the car would have made a reasonable down payment on a condo or something, and I'd rather have payments on a house than pay off my car....My house makes more money than my car loses, if you know what I mean...

I have no mortgage, no debt on credit cards (anymore), and my interest rate through honda was 7.1%. Rediculous if you ask me.

7.1% isn't a bad rate, but it be nice if it was lower. I mean a lot of manufacturers are offering below prime rates on certain models. I live and die with monthly payments, the day I can pay off a car, I know I really made it :D
