ahh,, 1hour ago,, I was driving mother's Ford Focus sedan,

and while going uphill, the rpm went down, and the engine is stopped.

tried to make the car work several times, but failed, and
I just left the car on the road side 20min from my house by walk.

this is first time to be happened to me in Canada
(it's been less than 2 years I moved from my country.)

so,, what can I do?? now?

my mother bought the car in Calgary auto mall (Maclin ford)
and bought Extended Servece Plan (kinda warranty) as well.
so I want to use that warranty this time!

but How can I tow my car? and should I pay the cost to tow the car? any experiences on this kind of matter?
(the "premium care" from ford is saying about service related to towing the car as well,, but it's not clear.)

and should I go to the same dealershop who sold the car?
I am living in Signal hill, so the Automall is too far from here!
any experiences? I have no experience on this.. :dunno:

tried to call Metro ford(which is kinda near from here),
but the service dep only works Mon~Fri. 6am~2pm
god.. somebody help.

I think leaving the car nearby the bus stop is NOT a good idea..
I need to tow it..

and about the problem it self,
the fuel was enough (not that much, but enough)
and motor oil, coolant was ok,
and I changed spark plugs several months ago.

I am guessing its throttle body idle valve problem or,,
injector/fuel pressure prob. :nut:

call the dealership and ask them what to do, im pretty sure they would reimburse the tow fee if the car is still under waranty

phone the ford that sold the car to you, they would have a towing service or tell you to phone someone.

do u have a AMA card? best thing to get for situations like that $75 a year and u get about 5 tows a year if needed so one tow pretty much pays for the card

If you want to own a car you have to be perpared to have it towed on your dime. Anything with that many moving parts is boudn to break down every once in a while (especially a ford). Have it towed, get it fixed, and get on with your life. These things happen.

Is it a gold coloured focus? Did it happen on Scirocco Drive and Signal Hill Drive around 3-4pm yesterday? If that was you, that was a pretty crappy spot to have broken down. Right at the turning lane as well. I actually drove around you to turn right onto Signal Hill Drive. If I knew you were a beyonder, I would have stopped to help you out.

So you don't stop to help anyone unless they're on Beyond?

No I don't normally help most people out in general to begin with. Just saying that I'd be more inclined to help a fellow beyonder than any joe schmoe.
