i sart at SAIT on the 27th and have to apply for EI for the duration of the training. Anyone know the best/fastest way to get approval? im an apprentice if that helps me get anything faster? :dunno:

Go to one of the unemployment office and find out.

But I believe officially you can't collect EI when you go to school unless the program is approved by unemployment office before hand.

I hope when you say 27th, it's not Feb 27th. It's 26th already today.

they usually have EI people there at sait during the first week to take applications from apprentices. It took about 2 weeks for me to recieve mine after i did all the paperwork.

you can do it online now, there should be some info on the paper sait sends you that had your course start date on it.
