ok so i still cant make up my mind. was going to do the turbo civic thing but then started to think. why not just buy a newer car/truck or faster car.

ive got it narrowed to a few different cars, i just need some opinions and experiances.

talon tsi awd= i like AWD and turbo
98-03 tiburon= very affordable and look half decent
dont flame me
5L mustang w/ supercharger= easy to fix and can be fast
99-up s10 4x4 or extreme= for my new job i need a truck
95-00 silverado 4x4= again for work
87=90 rx7 TII= had a 7 before and loved it
2.5 RS= i like AWD and the style
celica all trac= if i can find one im buying it
jeep tj= there fun to drive and great for summer
first gen miata= fun to turbo
90-93 mr2 turbo= lots of fun to drive and fast

id like to make this a poll but dont know how, anyways.

id appreciate any imput, my car goes up for sale next week in the auto trader and bargain finder

thnx for the help

Forget about the turbo.....turbos are ass.......high maintenance money pits! haha

Yah Yah, if the setup is installed properly and tuned but seriously, how much time/money do you have?

And out of your list, the only one worth considering is the MR2 Turbo! Oh wait, that is turbo too?

You can get a pretty nice 3rd Gen Supra Turbo for around 12-13,000. One guy i work with has teh Supra Turbo GT-R!
Still, i'd go for the MR2, but hard to find anything over 91...i've never seen a 92+ for sale :(

Here we go again Scott. Since before you even bought the civic you have been telling me a different car like every week that you wanted...lol But seriously you know I'm going to tell you to get a turbo II so I won't even go there. The mr2 sounds the best out of your list though. Tell me when you want to go look at anything and I'll come.

i remember you saying you hadn't paid off your civic yet???
did you pay it off?
im my honest opinion, you should get one car and stick with it, and look out financially........like everyone wants a fast car, but that doesn't mean they all go out and get into crazy debt to have a nice car(well maybe some people do).....so alls i'm saying is look out for your financial stuff

ecstasy_civic

no i havent paid my car off completley but im almost there. and in a yr shorter than planned.

carson i know i do that all the time find a new car and just want to sell my civic. but seriously this time im dead serious. ive already talked to my parents and my dad had bought a 88' nova sedan w/ 91xxxkms on it and its MINT! it was for a parts getter for the shop, so im going to drive that and get a new car/ truck in the later spring. id like a supra but most are pieces of shit i looked before i bought my civic and came to the conclusion that im not going to buy one. im still kicking myself for not buying that 10AE TII back in the fall.

most likely im going to buy and AWD car or truck. if i come across a good deal on a TII ill probably get it. but im looking for specific things now not just going fast.

with driving this older car im saving like 1400 bucks a month! by the time june rolls around and landscaping starts up again ill be pulling in close to 3500 a month just like last yr. unlike when i bought my civic my head is very clear about my financial situation:thumbsup:

i know it was a serious possiblity but there just to damn expensive to fix. and ive been talking ALOT to memystealthandi about it and its an awesome way to go fast, and have AWD but i dont want to be fixing $1000 parts everyother month.

i can afford a nice car but i dont want to be fixing it constantly.

3500$/month landscaping.. shit man find a new company :D... J/k

Find something that suits your daily needs. if it be a 4 door sedan, or 2 door sports car. Think about your daily habbits, and insurance

I have an extreme. 2002. fun truck, pretty unpractical though if your working landscaping. it barley makes it down curbs without scraping something.

Go for the tiburon

hope u can find ur celica!

dj_honda
03-15-2003, 12:05 PM
those celica's are soooo rare man....if you see one it will go so quick.

i remember back in high school i saw a couple for sale but i haven't seen any for sale ever since. Those cars are amazing....

well if you are gonna get a car then i would say the MR2 turbo....the styling is awesome, they have power and lots of parts available...
also it doesn't look like you owned a toyota before so try something new man

Turbo II, Tiburon or Celica.

my first choice of cars in that list would be turboII/talon.

boi-alien

turboII definitely!

I know this wasn't on your list but IMO you should look into a GTI VR6, at least go test drive one .... they are reliable bloody quick and affordable (depending on your budget)

ecstasy_civic

id really like to get a TII but its kind of unpractical for my driving habits, i drive alot and dont want to spend a whack load of cash upgrading stuff that i know ill want to. the mr2 is a great idea but so hard to find.
hey ekliptix, that gp sport TII was my wall paper for the longest time:thumbsup:

i went to look at the extreme today before work, and i can easily afford it and it was soooo nice. its got the power that i need, 180hp and 245 tq, 5spd. i can throw plenty of shit in the back, pull a trailor for lanscaping and still look half decent.

vr6 isnt really my thing, im not really into vw's as much as i used to be. but its a good thought.

ive heard talon's are high maitenance and made like crap, go for the celica, the extreme would be a nice choice if you go for the truck, i know a guy that worked at a hyundai dealership and said the tiburons are crappy too...

I found a 92 MR2 for sale, $11000 T-top. It's at buysell.com under imports, I didn't mean to close the window but I did, don't wanna look for it again.

Is that US? thats a great deal pending that the mileage is decent, there was an all orginal one for sale in Calgary with 95K original KMs, the owner has to leave the country so he was really trying to liquidate it, it may still be for sale, check www.canadatrader.com

It was canadian I'm assuming because I clicked on regions and Calgary to find it.
