I broke down last year when I just moved here and didn't have clue who to call. Got through to CityWide. They sent a guy who put me on rear dollies and then lifted me from the front. Just an FYI, a flatbed sounds good, but if you can't make the angle to drive up onto one then it's just as useless as any other towtruck.

Dollying the rear wheels was the only option for mine. I told the operator at CityWide exactly how high my car was off the road and she got the right guy on the job.

The driver did some work towing for CPS, so he knew how to tow pretty much anything. Especially when you're delaing with wrecks and stuff.

alright thanks guys..i'll give them a shout

will he be able to load my car without scrapping either the nose or rear on the bumper? (depending on how he loads it) my exhaust hangs about 2-3" off the ground and the bumper is about 5-7" off the ground

thanks

Kooter towed my ride and my muffler is about 2 inches off the ground too. He uses boards to get lowered cars on the deck.

Lie. Don't tell 'em it's lowered :D

Just stick some boards under it to jack it up a bit. That's what AMA did last time they towed mine.

City Wide does all my towing... espically when winter hits, and the vette owners book their cars in when there is 2 feet of snow on the ground)

Its actually A1 Krazy Kooter

Hes a wicked guy

Why couldn't you have told me that 2 weeks ago damnit, lol. People were telling me how good he was but noone had his number and I couldn't find it in the phone book, now I know why.

But ya, sometimes a flatbed isnt always the best option. I had my car towed once when it was lowered 1.5" by a normal AMA towtruck, the guy was really good, got the back on dollies. Told me that flatbeds are sometimes a really bad idea cuz the people driving them don't know much about towing cars..

i had my old integra towed by CAA when the ball joint broke and when the tow truck driver let it off the flat bed he forgot to take slack off the cable he drug my car nearly 6 feet before i got him stopped and i had an axel stand to hold up the corner of my car that the ball joint snapped on and as he dragged my car it put a huge dent in my floor and cracked my front kit i am glad you didnt choose them they will never get my business again

oh shit..that SUCKS^^^ i hope he paid for the damages caused!!

Just had my car towed by Krazy Kooter this morning actually. He did very well. He brought his ramps and then he lowers his flatbed as much as he can (still on an angle) then we pushed my car up the ramps as far as we can get it on. Then he hooks on with his hooks/winch and pulls it up the rest of the way while i steered and then threw on the E-brake/put into gear to hold it into place.
The guy is sort of a nutjob but he seems like a good guy!!!

Just to let you guys know if your car ever breaks down at Race City, Kooter is usually there. :)
