What it needs:
- Car seems to need its Mass air flow sensor reset sometimes or else it will hesitate/stall/run rich. I suspect the sensor is dieing.
- Timing chain is making some noise, most likely will need a new one soon.
- Needs the stereo Finished (friend started the job) needs to be professionally finished with a new deck.
- The front and rear bumper needs to be refinished and painted (there are some cracks and paint splits, from idiots trying to park and gravel on road trips)
- Windshield is cracked on passenger side 14".
- 3 wires on the Wire harness for the drivers power window needs to be resoldered (three window buttons don't work on the door and there is 3 wires on the harness that are cut, just haven't got around to it)
- Steering Wheel and shifter Knob needs to be rewrapped
Story Behind it
I bought this Car off a lease return in Vancouver from a guy that lived on Vancouver Island (hence no heated seats). I purchased it in 2002 with 98,000 KM's and it spent 2 years in Kelowna and then I moved to Calgary. The original owner added the P-Flow Kit and Scorpion Catback. The mid muffler has been replaced with a Magna Turbo due to a hole in the exhaust. Still sounds amazing (kinda like a GSX-1000 with more bawls) It has only seen 2 winters and has been parked indoors for most of the time I have owned it. My plan was to refinish this car as its one of my all time fav german autos. The Leather inside is in mint condition and not dried out at all. Car has one claim for a parked hit and run that chipped the paint on the front bumper (Driver most likely never saw the damage as it was dark). Claim was never put through as damage was far less then the deductable and I was thinking of painting the car later anyway.
This Car is a dream to drive, its got tones of Jam of handles amazing with the recent Bilstein and Neuspeed suspension. This Car deserves to be finished by a euro enthusiast. It has no rust, leather is mint and still looks amazing.
Reason for selling: House and kids on the way and wife has put an end to my project ;(
7000.00 Firm Priced to Sell, I’ve dropped about 2 – 2/12 grand into the car in the last year. Also getting Car Fax this week, Pics will be up tomorrow.
