wanted an opinion on which I should get
place where I work at has a 05 s2k coming in brand new and Honda has given a pretty good discount on it.
where as a 06 we have 2 coming in and that goes for retail..but 06 comes with drive by wire throttle, VSA, Integrated Headrest Speakers, new 17" wheels. maintenence minder, and outside temp gauge...opinions please :)
also thinking about maybe just getting a 03 s2k and doing a 04+ conversion, but that would run me a pretty penny later on.

06 if you want to spend the extra cash, having the headrest enclosed now creates less noise as well, VSA of course, 05 spec wheels i like a lot better, but itll probably be way more cost effective by coverting a AP1 to an Ap2. Either way good luck on the purchase dude

How much can you save for a 05? If it is big savings, I'll take the 05 than the 06. :clap:

Yeah, big savings go 05.....but if you are keeping the car for a long time then go with new...otherwise you will lose more money, if thats a concern.

05 fetchs about $36000 in Canadian Black Book. So i would mean that i would worth about $40K on the market at most.

The 06 features sound fairly useless to me so I'd go with the 05.

since it's a 05, honda has a pretty good rebate program going on right now. I'm trying to decide on what to do before someone else picks it up. kinda helps that i work for T&T as well :D

+ you should check the rates for insurance for a S2K. :thumbsup:

For me a S2K is about $100/yr more than my Altima for insurance.

type s was sold a long time ago, want a summer car :D i think with rebates it's about 48k for an 05 better then 52k we have 2 coming in

we have an 06 white one coming in
and a black 06 with black/red interior.

go for 05' its hard to justify spending that much more for what you get. buy the 05' and spend what you saved on mods

But on topic. It does seem right to purchase the 05. Just because knowing you, you'll be dumping a lot of money into xtras so might as well save up while you can.

I've read on the S2k boards that the headrest speakers are terrible.
Because of depreciation I would get an 04, but that's just me.

^ I have a hardtop on the NC. It only cost me less than 2K when i ordered it with my car. or else it will cost around 4K if I order it seperately. :D

they s2k they had at the auto show was beautiful, we have a customer putting a deposit on the 05...1 left ...i wanna jump on it :( just gotta make sure it's right move

I heard from the manager at mitsu. that 5 people have already putted a deposit for an evo in Calgary before it is gonna be released in 2 years, no price set no nothing...

That's funny because about 2 years ago when I was looking to buy my fiance a car I went to the Platinum Mitsu and the manager told me that the lancer MR was supposed to be in within a year (at the time I spoke to him). And still, no lancer MR
