Don't forget the reliability issues of the DSM's
Out of those, I'd get a 240sx, but a clean one. You might have to search for a long time before you find a clean one, but when you do you won't regret it.

go for a 240. like said above, it might take a little longer to find one in good shape, but totually worth it. I bought one in October, and have loved it ever since. i got lucky and found one with really low clicks, and a near perfect body pretty much right away, so that was nice. but its an awsome car to drive, and tons of after market support.

if your even considering importing a car, why not a 180sx or a silvia? the cost of getting one or the other over a 240sx is cheaper because you already have the turbo engine (ca18det and now the sr20det). You can pick one of these up for about $7000 any they are in alot better condition than most 240sx's.

cause doing a swap on a 240sx will run you close to $4000 for the sr20. but consider the option and if rhd is an issue go for the 240sx.

I love how the DSM reliability always pops up in these kinds of threads. As long as it was maintained well, you won't have any problems.

Wish the people i'm renting from would chip in 2k for me to get a new car. Guess Boardwalk doesn't go for that sort of thing though.

Alright, now how would you ever know if it's been maintained well? A 10 year old car, and not just a 10 year old, a Mitsu Eclipse which everyone thinks is god of cars, has probably been passed around like a French whore, and beat like one too.
Just saying...

I could say the same thing with a Skyline or 240sx :nut:

id go for the eclipse 96+ 240's are alright if you get the newer model and to spend 6000 + on a 15 year old skyline seems pretty dumb their ugly and if you damage is parts are hard to find

Go for the skyline man, most people on here who trash them have probably never even owned one. I will agree the 240 is a nice car and the talon could be alright but in terms of pure performance go for the skyline. Plus the rb's sound much better than the 240 and the talon in my opinion.
