yea i been looking at a used car for a while, and my sis is probably gonna get a new car soon so her 240sx 1995 model is just gonna sit there. the car is pretty dam old, and just had a raid and anything valuable was basically stolen or destroyed. she took it to a nissan dealer, they replaced the entire brake system, and they said the tranny is near death, and the engine needs a rehaul. so i'm wondering if should take the car and do a tranny swap from auto to manual... anyone think this is worth it? or should i just go look for another 240sx...

I can even give you the number for a shop down in Cali if you're interested.

For $2200, the 240sx would be like new :)

i mean, its not like i care about the body or condition of the interior (it had a repaint and new door from an accident someone hit it while it was parked), i just want it to get a good running engine with a manual tranny.

also u know if a sr20 can pass emissions? i herad it can't...

Well you can put one in and buy 2 aftermarket high flow cats so you can pass emissions and strap the other exhaut on afterward

I have heard that the tranny swap for the 240 is easier than most other cars, but that is only what I heard :)

u will waste alot more money then neccesary, i think u should find another 240, i read in import tuner a while ago that the cost for a auto to manual was worth more then the price of the car (civic  ) so i would suggest to not
