Alright guys, I've been averaging 2 more coffees a day in hopes of winning myself a rav4. But so far I've gotten jack. I suspect that the reason for that is because I only buy medium sized coffees. Is there a thing saying that medium coffees wins you less things? Or is it just me and my bad luck?

Just think of the chances man....you need to be SUPER SUPER lucky to win anything big from that shit.

Dude, the chances of winning the Rav4 are gonna be pretty tough -

I've actually won twice with mediums, nothing big though, just free coffee's. I've never won with a large. I buy about 3/day

EDIT: I'm actually aiming to win one of those TV's :D

I have never won anything besides coffes and donuts. A friend of mine won a bar-b-que one year. Another friend of mine won the bike. The best part about the bike was that it came in a box and she had to assemble it.

A heavy coffee drinker at the office says he wins most often on the Large and Mediums. His usual is the Extra Large and he says he rarely wins on them :dunno:

Another lady at the office won a mountain bike off of a large coffee.

If you saved the cash you spend on coffee , you'd be half way to a monthly payment .

I won a free coffee off my first one...and now Im drinking the free one. Anyways...they get more large cups than med or XL, so there are winners among those even though the % are likely the same.

I'd want to win too, if their coffee didn't taste like ass.

No self respecting coffee drinker can call that good coffee.

Rant over.

My boss and I average 3 Timmies XL coffees a day. Last we won a free coffee between the two of us. So far this week we have won a donut so things are looking good for us.

hahahaha so true. I just did a quick calculation and I spend over a grand on Timmy's coffee every year.

And nope, haven't won anything yet, and never have, other than more coffee.

When I was 19, I used to bake at the one by sait..there were lots of winners of big prizes there...
couple of ppl won some TV's, one lady one an SUV....The only bad thing about it was some of the staff used to steal the winning tickets and give them to their friends to come in later with.
I haven't one nothing yet..:banghead:

My boss was ready to strangle me.

He's about 0 for 50 w/ the roll up to wins.

He bought me a coffee yesterday, he goes 0-51, I won a free coffee :bigpimp: Funny thing is I never buy Tim's coffee.

Needless to say, but anybody know who's hiring :D

Your rant never even registered. Millions of addicted Tim's drinkers disagree. Don't tell me. Your $4.00 cup of Starbucks coffee is better right.

Back on topic. Roll up the Rim to win used to be great but they have really scaled back the winners over the past few years to the point where you have better odds of winning on a 5-pic sports select card than winning even a donut or coffee.:(

Just to let you all know, I know a guy that works at a store and in the rules it states that the larger the coffee, the more likely you are to win.

Don't hold your breathe if you want to win something big with a medium coffee, it won't happen.

All of the past vehicles have been with Large or XLarge cups.

So your best bet to win is actually buying large coffees.

Ha. Ha. With your comment I thought you may be a Sarbucks eletist. Second cup coffee is okay. I used to drink it alot but prefer Tim's. Food is subjective like anything else. I have to line up outside Tim's every morning to get my XL DD so obvioulsly the majority of coffee drinkers in Canada disagree with you.;)

:werd: But I still think certain Tim's have better coffee than other ones. (aka. MRC) their coffee always has this slightly burnt smell to it.

The thing about Tim's is that you have to get a fresh pot. The flavour degrades sharply (ie: gets strong) with time on the heating element.

Here's a tip:

Don't roll up the rims when the cup's full of hot coffee!

Haha! My first job during high school was at Tim Horton's at the airport years ago and you'd be surprised how many people would start peeling the rims as soon as the cups were handed to them! How disappointing to voluntarily burn your fingers for a free donut, or worse, nothing!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO my rav4. Okay I only have 1 medium, large and extra large left. I gotta win this!!

And about the fresh pot thing. The thign is, at MRC they don't use pots. It's just a machine, they push the button, coffee drips down. Gods know how long it's been used for.

Aren't the odds of winning 1/9 or something?

But anyway, I'm 1/3 so far. I've never won anything bigger than a donut or coffee. Timmy's coffee might not be that good to some people but I still think its the best regular coffee. And I'm not talking about the cafe mochas or lattes that people usually have from Starbucks. I hate the taste of just plain coffee from Starbucks.

I was a manager at tims, and the odds are technically 1/9, but you have a better chance at the better prizes buying larger sizes.
there are a certain amount of prizes for each province, and then each size of coffee, and they are just randomly put in various boxes in the warehouse and sent to various stores.
EX: Alberta...12 tvs med-2 tvs lg-4 tvs xlg-6tvs

0 - 2 so far, Ive been drinking larges... I want that rav4. I was looking at the huge rules poster at the one in signal hill. It had this section of the number of winning cups for rav 4 in alberta: 4 in total - 1 medium, 2 large, 1 extra large. Then it just went down the list to tvs, cash prizes..blah blah blah. I was watching a tv show, cant remeber which one but it said that Rollllllll up the rim to win is the number one garbage producing contest in canada...like 50 tons of garbage.

All depends on which Tims you work for I think. Have a friend that has worked there for 3 years with no complaints. Depends on the owners and who they hire (@$$ managers, etc.).

Like a few people on here, I think Tim's coffee is pure and utter :bullshit: IMHO it is under roasted and has not developed any full flavor.

Now, Second Cup I am not fond of but that is just my preference.

Starbucks :D Well, yes I guess you could call me an elitist (Heavy D) because for my taste the bean has been roasted very well and their coffee blend is EXACTLY as the description says. Their Espresso (which I drink) has decent crema (only par due to the fully automated machine) and is not runny or watery. Thieir Espresso drinks (eg. Caramel Macchiatto) are also done well. Mind you having such drinks at 180`C is prefect.

BUT, out of all the coffee chains, my favorite is my Breville 800EXSL Espresso machine! It makes me what I what, when I want and just how I like it!! ;) I pick the bean, grind it up and viola a coffee drink that would blow ANY large coffee chain out of the water! To boot, it costs me a fraction of the price!

Anyways, my contribuation to the thread: I've only won free donuts and coffee! Yee haa!

yea, nothing like a drink at almost twice its boiling point.

Sadly, the reason i dont drink at second cup or starbucks, is because apparently all of those employees also mixed up which system of measurement to use. Im always guaranteed a nice hole in my tongue, or not being able to taste anything for the next three days while my taste buds grow back.

I dont care how underroasted, or whatever coffee expert lingo you have to throw around, I love my timmy's. lol.

So far im running about one win for every 4 or 5 larges.

You guys gotta be rolling them wrong, here's a trick:
Fold the cup in half (as in squash it so it's flat), then roll the rim upwards. It's a bitch to do normally because it's a circular shape, and you're rolling against the curvature gradient. When you flatten the cup, there's no tension pressure against the rolling movement.

I get a medium hot chocolate everyday, must have been 50 cups since the contest, and so far.... 1 donut   Whatever, better than nothing I guess!

Ok so i finally gave in and bought a large. I HATE tim hortons coffee, tastes like ass, burnt ass actually because once again, just like every other time i've tried there coffee, its burnt.
BUT i figure its worth it for a RAV4.

I drink a quarter of it and couldn't stand the nastyness anymore so I just rolled it and a got a free coffee:banghead: (which i found out was a loser so i threw it out)

Thats makes me 1/2 i guess. lol
