just took a spin in the girlfriends 2003 bmw 740 Li and i have never been so impressed in my life. just get in, tell the car where you want to go and this car tells you everything! even has the same shifting as the williams f1 if you want to use it! kind of a pointless thread but i was just really impressed! wish i had 160,000 to get one!!!:drool:

I think opposite. I think it's ugly as shit, but has some impressive features. I'd rather have a last gen model.

The previous-gen 7 can be had for a pretty good price because they depreciate much faster than the 5 or 3.

actually her family has the new 745, a z3, the new 530 and a 98 7 series as well. and i drive a honda... lets say i kinda feel out of place!!!! and i was lucky... she found me!:thumbsup:

Yeah, there's 3 models of 7 series right now, the 745i, base 7 series, the 745Li, longer wheelbase, and the 760Li, Long wheelbase, More Power, much more money. The 760Li is brand spanking new, Not out before...before it was just 745i/Li

My neighbor has an S600...(previous gen) I think its still pretty damn nice...Altho compared to the 760, id take the 7...
I took groceries out to one about a week ago, and when the lady walked up to it and unlocked it, i was like "Jesus Fucking Christ!"
Lets just say, its a DAMN NICE car...

As much as I hate to say it, as MB's are my sworn enemy as a BMW owner. I'd take my dad's S500 before getting into a new 7-series. :(

The BMW is a great car but if comparing both V12's and prices both above 160K, The new MB S600 twin turbo V12 at just under 500 HP and just over 500 ft/lbs of torque would annihilate it performance wise and doesn't look like a riced german oxymoron waiting to happen
