I don't understand why turbo lag is fun.

I would much rather have linear power on demand that peaky turbo.

It terms of driving smoothness, I prefer the 330 over the STi

I think they should have their lights going horizontally long as opposed to the vertically long version they have shown there. Those lights make it look like a corvette.

Not liking the design, back looks good, V8 power will be nice aswell.

but now, for the first time since the early 90s, it is actually a profitable move to build a world-class sports car. i wish cars used the regualr dollar exchange.... if it is going to be 40k usd... but the ways cars are... it will probably be 60K cad....

A friend of mine is an aerodynamicist for Toyota in Aichi, he confirmed the lexus V-8 sports car as the flagship, but he said it so far it looks like it probably wont be a "supra", as far as he knows the supra name is dead..Toyota needed another model to showcase its V-8 tech with..Toyota has real thing for new names lately...
The Lexus sc 430 btw is now going to be in super GT(what was JGTC), in the 500 class, facing off against the supra of old..
Also new is the Ford GT which will be in the Gt300 class

to honest, i think the 94-98 supras have the better looks that , if that car goes for 50 - 60 Grand, than everyone would buy it and everyone will have it, and then when everyone has it, no one will like it, i doubt supras will ever come back, if it does, it better be a better that THING. that looks likes a suped up celica from the front sort of. :thumbsdow

I think toyota only made crappy economical cars is because that's what the market was in the last 10 years. Sales for super sport cars were not profitable during the 90s, that's why they cancelled the supra lineup.
but now we see more and more sport cars being made my other manufacturers, it would be pretty dumb of toyota not to jump on the bandwagon. It's simple economics, there's a demand for sport cars, therefore let's make a sports car that will sell.

i don't see why toyota wouldn't re-release the supra. it's obviously going to sell if it's going to be in the 50-60k range.

yeah right, 45k usd on a car is gonna be like 65k canadian. the price difference NEVER matches the exchange rate. look at the new corvette, 50k usd and 90k cad.
