Has anyone here ever ordered a wheel/tire combo from Tire Rack? How much were you dinged for taxes/duty/shipping?

Is there a place in Montana where I could have the stuff delivered and then bring it back across the border myself?

I think it was about $138 to those UPS fuckheads. Unfortunately I had no other option

www.tiretrends.com

based out of BC. Paid $1505 tax in on a full set of 17" enkei evo 5's with 40 series Nitto Gen tires mounted and balanced. Even included tuner lugs. Because its out of BC no brokrage!

i've looked at tiretrends, but their price for the wheel I want is about 2.5-3x higher than tirerack.

I'll go thru CMS before tiretrends.

I suppose that a year ago when i got mine the yanky dollar was a lot stonger.

Well the duty and brokrage came out to be about 170 when I ordered wheels and tires from tirerack :banghead: Still came out cheaper than here tho.

Call Anand at Mytires.ca

He should be able to get almost anything you want.

Yeah I checked out a few packages from the tirerack and also 1010tires, but I figured with all the complications it would be better to get my tires at Kal Tire myself.:dunno:

I guess it depends on what you need though, if none of the local tire shops carry what you want and tirerack does then I guess you have no choice.

150-200 doesn't sound that bad for a wheel and tire package adder given where the dollar is right now...is there a number we can call to get the exact figures of how much $ we'd be facing exactly?
