I'm just curious what everyone's techniques are for de-stressing. What do you do when you are under pressure?

going out and having a good time with friends

or what really takes my mind of things is by playing sports - especially hockey
i get so into it that i just forget everything while i play, then after im too tired to stress and care

Acutally, to be honest, I never find myself "stressed". What's so tough in life that you feel under pressure all the time, I have no idea.

I like playing Burnout when I'm stressed. One of my fave video games. Right now I'm not so much under pressure and I'm not stressing that much. But there are times when I think I just let things like school, work, friends etc., get to me too easily.

We've had a set of these

sitting in the house forever but I never paid attention to them. One day I decided to pick them up and just mess around with them. I noticed when your trying to spin them in your hands, you concentrate on it and forget about your stress, also the sounds are pretty soothing. Ionno I think they work.

I try to get more stressed. Like get another job or something. Anyone who knows me knows I'm dumb like that!

But yeah I just have a hot bubble bath and do breathing exercises if I have the time.

Generally I do most of the same things as everyone else, work out, go for a drive, crank music etc. But I've never drank coffee when stressing out, I think it would just make me even crazier.

If it's pressure from school, I just try to get started on all my work and do as much as possible, even if i'm stressed..because you feel reaaaaally good about accomplishing some of it.

After that, go out with friends and forget about it for a little bit..then get right started again.

well... i try just sitting some where quit usually in my car down by the beach or i go take it out in football, practise on my guitar. not that any of it works i think as im 17 and already got white hairs:thumbsdow

Unless it's the dead of winter, a good mountain bike ride that leaves you totally exhausted will melt that stress away.

In winter, coffee, driving, cigarettes, and GTA: San Andreas :D Not exactly healthy, but neither is lots of stress.

Or you could always tug a little root as TeamBestBud recommended :rofl:

Talk to someone, whether it be a friend/gf/family member. And I always tell myself, it really isn't that bad (which it isn't 99% of the time)

I either go downstairs and work on my basement. (I'm developing it slowly).

Or I play with my dog. As shitty as things can be sometimes, he always wants to play tug of rope or fetch. Mans best friend :thumbsup:

In order:

Step 1: Have sex

if that can't be done, then go to step 2

Step 2: Masturbate

usually a step 2 will stop most stress, but in the case it doesn't

Step 3: Alcohol

and if step 3 doesn't do it, going on beyond or driving or working out will also work

Combinations of these steps is also ok, so if you want to drink a lot of alcohol and then have sex, there is a good chance you won't be stressed - but will be sleeping/past out

Number 1 stress relief is BOOZE and Lots of it! :drool:

Other than that suck it up and deal with it. Gym also rocks nothing like throwing weights around while pissed off.

If I'm hungry or tired that amplifies tenfold whatever stress or anger I'm feeling. When I get mad or stressed I ALWAYS get really tired almost immediately. So I find the best thing to do for me is make sure I've eaten recently and then sleep it off.

Meaning less stuf liike blocks or cars or something.

A reall shitty day seem much less important when I spend time with my two boys.

Something a simple as a playful snowball fight in the backyard can relieve the tension of a thousand crappy days....

i find i only get stressed when waiting for an exam mark back, so as soon as the exam comes back the stress usually leaves :)
