Okay I need a huge favour from a second year engineer. You had to have had ENGG 201 in the second semester...I need your formal report! I'm willing to pay 20 bucks for it if you got a good mark on it.

Let me know if you can help out! Thanks

2 weeks from now, expect the people who are involved in this to make a "Expelled from the U!!!" thread.

Well first of all, they change the topics for the formal report every semester, so basically us second years cant really help you (well the second years that that ENGG 201 first semester in first year). Our formal report was first semesters formal report.

It's on Ammonia. This is the beginning description..

ENGG 201 FORMAL REPORT (Winter 2006)
Behavior of a Fluid near its Critical Point - Ammonia
You are to complete a Formal Report on the Behavior of a Fluid Near its Critical Point similar to
the experiment outlined in Experiment 2 in the ENGG 201 Laboratory Manual (3rd Ed.). You
must write the report as if the data below were collected by you, using the apparatus described in
Experiment 2. The report should be written as per the guidelines provided for writing formal
reports. The completed Formal Report is to be placed in an ENGG 201 Laboratory Submission
Box on Friday March 31, 2006 by 12:00 pm (noon). Please remember to make a photocopy of
your report before you hand it in.

ha. Thats the exact same topic we had (5 or 6ish years ago). I'd help you out, but have no idea where I would have put it.

Mine was to analyze the vapour pressure of ethanol and n-propanol. I still have a soft copy of mine, if you want I can email mine so you have an idea of what to do.

Yeah, I think they alternate semesters. Since you're in second semester now, you need it from someone who took it first semester and is now in 2nd year...... I think my topic was analyzing those different curve thingers....(i already dont remember what they were) of some gas....in some chamber :P

it'd probably be easier just to ask a friend in the same class for advice.

unless you want someone to actually copy from. but you don't want that, right?

You know, instead asking for ex-reports here which appearlly everyone has a different topic anyway. You might be better off ask someone in your class... or start doing it??!!?

seriously, i dont get it...

Don't worry about, my buddy has a hard copy of one, but i'd like someone who has a copy on the computer. Thanks for your input though.

By the way that you are going about doing one of the most important projects for the whole first year, especially this class, it is pretty evident you're not going to be around to see 2nd year anyway

Thanks mom and dad, i'll go clean my room now. Would you listen to you two angels preach? If you think that no one uses old labs in engineeering, you have no idea what you're talking about.

I remember that one last year. A lot of it depended on which TA marked the lab... I got a pretty decent mark on mine (as well as others with the same TA) while others which had more than me got a lower mark.

Yah it totally depends on your TA. The marks you've been getting on your previous labs is what you're pretty much guranteed on your formal if you stick to the guidelines.

^^ Yup, it's all about the TA's. I noticed that the chinese FOB TA's are the ones that mark the easiest.
