Scene like that aren't uncommon in powerlifting, just not often caught on tape I guess... The only stupid thing about the video was how many people tried to help at once, that would've just hindered the process and got him crushed... two people on each side is all you need and one from the behind the bar if you want.

Looking at the video again I notice he's wearing a bench shirt... a really thick one since hes moving so stiffly and kind of falls on the bench like a 2x4 lol
I dunno just seems less impressive to see a 600lb press with a 3ply bench shirt that probably adds 200lbs if he knows how to use it, raw 1 rep max bench presses are a lot more impressive... even if the guy doesn't pull it off.
