first of all you gotta have the best performance parts
as you can tell i have a 735 hp Skyline

sport wheels
medium front
medium back

SUSPENSION
spring rate 6.0 front
spring rate 7.5back

ride height 115 front and back

shock absorbers 6 front and back

camber angle 1.0 front
camber angle .5 back

but i don't have custom shocks i have semi racing
but this is how its set up

and finally go to driving aids
and turn it all to 0

P.S this is for skyline

the main problem if you can't powerslide/drift it's because of the driving aids so turn those off before changing the suspension and see if that works

I have tried...and tried...and tried..and tried to drift like crazy in GT4 but it is wayyy too hard to do nicely. In GT3 I can drift like crazy all day long...that last loop on Complex String can be done no problemo but in GT4 I always end up getting traction near the end of the drift and then spinning out. I've slowly started to master it in my Nismo 270R on Deep Forest but other than that I still suck. Really weird how the handling/physics of the game changed so much between GT3 and GT4. Cars that I could drift 24/7 with in GT3 are "undriftable" in GT4.

^^^^what kind of cars are you trying to drift in GT4 i'll try some out and see if i can make them drift

but do you have all the performance parts????

anything RWD basically.
S13, S14, S15, FC RX7, Supra, anything...
You don't need all the power in the world to dorifto

I can slide no problem but I prefer to be sideways before, through, and after the corner.....and on the straights too. :D :D

Make a video of yourself going through Trial Mountain or Deep Forest in an RWD car. I couldn't see anything in this video because it was way too dark and it doesn't help that your car is AWD.

It's hard but I can kind of do it with the Blitz ER34 and the HKS S15. Apricot Hill (I think thats what its called) is where I usually do it. I adjusted camber and ride height but all I really did was adjust the TCS and whatever the other setting is lol, which makes it alot easier to slide but a bit harder to control.

if you go on gamefaqs.com and look up gt4 there a guide to a general drifting suspension setup.

...man you aren't drifting. The fully tuned Skylines just drive sideways when you floor it, that is all you are doing here.

Here's my settings for my Genki HKS S15:

--Parts--
LSD: Full
Tires: N1 (Medium)
Oil Change

--Settings--
Traction Settings
-ASM oversteer- 0
-ASM understeer- Max
-TCS- 0
LSD
-Initial Torque 5
-Accelerator 5
-Decelerator 5
Brake Controller
-Front 20
-Rear 20

Works great, lower the ASM understeer (don't max. out) if it wipes out too easily.

Yea, I've tried so hard to drift in this game too...but I just can't. I can hold it for two seconds, then I just completely lose control. All you XBoxers make it look so easy on Forza. Boo-urns.

I hope the next GT blows GT4 out of the water....and brings a better car list. It would be nice to see some new vehicles....*cough* Ferarri or Lamborghini.

i thought that GT4 brought an impressive line up with 600+ cars. it'd be nice to see the exotics like lambo or ferrari, maybe this time around they'd be able to obtain a license for these cars.

Yea, that's what I meant to say. It just didn't come out the right way.

Any word yet on the new GT title?
