View Full Version : Wet Sanding "SILVIA" Grill

Alot of s13 owners may have this same problem.

My "silvia" grill is faided yellow. I was looking at pictures on the net of a new silvia grill and it was grey and it looked really good.

Does anybody know how i can restore itback to new.
Like wetsanding, If anybody has done this on their silvia grill or any other please help me out.

Alright, after 3 hours of wetsanding/polishing Here is the befor and after pictures. In person there is a total difference. No yellow, looks brand new GREY!! NOt yellow.:thumbsup:

-Wetsand side to side
- 400 grit
- 600grit
- 1000 grit
- 1500 grit
- Apply swirl turtle wax
- Apply mcguires plastic polish
- Result Brand new looking "silvia" grill.

isnt it just oxidization from the heat? if so then you shoudl take a relaly fine grit and wet sand it.

Oxidation is not temperature dependant ^

It's a pretty common problem with JDM integra lights, or pretty much anything with a plastic lense. Take a look at this, it should help:
