Sucks that you have to give him up, but good on ya for looking out for his best interests. Make sure you pick a good home for him and not just some schuck who wants a dog on a whim. I interviewed over a dozen people before I gave mine to a family with an acreage in Carstairs several years back. Good luck with the search. If I can convince the wife that we should put up our fence right away, I'll be getting in touch with ya.

He looks more like a shepherd/rottie cross but you say one of his parents is a lab. Very nice looking dog, hope you find a good home. Does he have any shots, neutered, tattoed, chipped or anything? If I come across anyone looking, they'll probably want to know this stuff.

I think his snout looks more shepherd like than rottie or lab, but he's a good looking dog either way. I'll stop hijacking your thread now, sorry.

hes 5 months old his name is Moose. hes not neutered, not tattooed, but he does has his first shots, and is dewormed. i love my dog, ive only had him 3 months and im really attatched to him and this is really hard to do, but he needs some one that is there with him more than i am. hes trained to go outside, and also to wait for his food, hes got alot of potential of being the best of both worlds guard dog(rotti) and smart "mans best friend" (lab)
hes an awesome dog that actually is a big suck, but is already very territorial. dont want to give him away but i have to. thanks to everyone interested.

Does he shed like a lab?

no he loves other dogs protective is what i mean, he just lets you know that he doesnt know you but right now hes young so he doesnt react like a rottweiler if you know what i mean. no he doesnt shed like a lab he has barely shed at all since ive had him. but it might change when he gets older im not sure.
