Anyone here own a E36 M3? I'm thinking of picking one up if I sell the silvia. Any known problems? What to look for when purchasing this type of car? I want to go back to euro again. Any other cars that you would of considered getting instead of the E36?

Go for an e46 m3...

You wont regret it. e36 arent very powerful compared to the e46

Then check out e46fanatics.com - worldwide forum, but most members are in cali.

^ Many consider the E46 a downgrade in comparison to the E36. The E36 may not be that powerful but it makes up for it in other areas.

Most people don't give enough credit to the E36's. While they aren't as powerful as the E46, the engine was vastly underrated and has pushed higher numbers than BMW claims. Also, they are much more affordable.

I had 3 of them in last 7 yrs ..

Best for your buck! lowest maintainence Luxury European Sports car!

They are fast already! put it this way, in late 90's 5.4 second 0-60mph time was very good .. not much off from a 993!

And lots of upgrades avaliable .. best to get Cold air intake, and Shark injector! small money .. to give you .. relistic ~ 15HP ..

Handling is amazing on those cars as well ...

Most E36 M3 .. is around $30K more or less now ..

Another great car I suggest, and I am looking for another one .. is the M Roadater! yeah "only 240HP" but 5.1 second 0-60mph ! very quick and fun car! and they are all reliable!

E36 M3 is still probaby one of the best driving car in the world.
