Anyone know when these are slated to go on sale? I know the oilers are starting their sale next week. I am pretty sure the season ticket holders will scoop up all the level 1/2 seats, so I can only hope for COOP/Sportcheck tickets. If ya have any information, please share.

Season ticker holders get no more tickets. NONE.

So whatever has been available all season will be available for the playoffs.

But with everyone (fan or not) trying to get tickets good frickin luck.

My dads company tickets were allowed first dibs. Im pretty sure any season ticket holder was allowed dibs on playoff tickets for their registered seats.

I even read it in the herald a couple weeks ago :dunno:

LOL, they're selling the tickets before they even know if the team makes it or not???

I was wondering about that too...since Edmonton is not even guaranteed to be in the playoffs yet...:dunno:

Neither is calgary, although the projected points necessary makes it a lot easier for Calgary.

Anaheim will probably make it, so I think either Edmonton or Vancouver is out. San Jose has some games in hand as well, so throw in LA and I figure out of Edm LA and VAn 2 of those teams will probably be out.

They didnt start selling them last playoffs till they were in for sure. I'd imagine there doing it that way again.

If you enlist w/ the flames email system, you'll get an email the day before w/ all the info you'll need to pick up tix.

I think it's called the "insider"

That's how I went to almost every playoff game last season.

I have season tickets, and they called us asking if we wanted our playoff package. I have my tickets for the playoffs. Whatever season ticket holder didn't get em got ripped off.

they sell playoff tickets before hand, and just reimburse you if they dont make it, just like how you have to pay for all the playoff rounds up front and then you get money back for games that are not used(if they sweep a series or lose in the second or third round etc)

Playoff tickets are marked up huge this year. I saw an article in the herald about a month ago about it. Last season they went up to aprox. +75% for Stanley Cup final games, this year the prices are up +150-200%.

"I believe in the 2004 campaign, when we were on that run, the amount of money people were paying for tickets online, especially eBay – I think one game was going for $2,000."

Cyr says the Flames organization is aware of secondary sale prices on sites like eBay and is confident there is a market to pay the higher prices.

Last season, season ticket holders were entitled to first crack at buying extra seats. I believe they are not doing that this year, and that is what people are refering to by EXTRA tickets.

I would love to get playoff tickets to just any ONE home game this year. My GF is coming to town and I would love to get tix as an anniversary gift to her. I know this is a long shot but can anyone help? :dunno:

You can get playoff tickets when the time comes. The only question is how deep your pockets are. Hint - check ebay prior to the games ;).

ProjectR
03-24-2006, 12:48 PM
are they gonna sell the tickets right before the first game of the playoffs? or is there some time before that?

Weapon_R
03-24-2006, 12:50 PM
Unfortunately the average person will not get playoff tickets unless you are incredibly lucky. You are going to be competing with thousands of people all trying to buy the same thing. The only alternative is buying them from someone who wants to sell, but they will always be marked up.

Not trying to cut the Flames or anythin, but who's to say they will even make the playoffs? They haven't clinched yet, so I wouldn't get too comfy. Check out Sportchek, they will have playoff tickets for $30-$40, the seats are unbelievable crappy, but well worth it for the atmosphere.

Got my letter today that says I'm allowed to purchase 2 games in the first 2 rounds, if I renew my current game pack.

Works out to about $32.5 each, which is cheaper than the $50 I paid the last season for the same nosebleed seats.

For the playoffs, there isn't a bad seat in the house.

It's just hard coming down there so early to get the good seats.

If it is like it was last season. The day before the playoff games, season ticket holders, and Flames 'insiders', will get first dibs on about 1000 tickets that will be released before each game.

But you gotta be quick with ticketmaster.ca because they go in about 5 minutes or less.

From what they've told me all remaining tickets will go on sale to everyone at the same time.

No pre-sale for season ticket holders.

I don't think they are going on sale at all. All three options, Ticketmaster, Co-op, and Sportchek are doing draws, and if you win, you get to purchase.

Doesn't sound like they are doing what was done the year before, where you would log into ticketmaster at 12:00 sharp and whoever was fastest would get them.

Could change in the other rounds though, not sure.
