For those who have been to Hawaii

I'm heading to Oahu in may, and I'm just wondering if you guys can recommend anything to do.
We've rented a beachhouse for a couple weeks, and we're going to head to pearl harbor, but other than that, we don't really have much to do yet.

Is it crazy expensive? Can you rent scooters (how much?) How much are drinks?

Yeah, just anything else I should be aware of would be cool.

North Shore is wicked to go watch surfing. When the tides are high and the good surfers are out there, some really amazing stuff. There's competitions there too, so depending on when you go might be able to catch some.

Oh, and they rent those segway things instead of a scooter. They're everywhere.

Go to Honama Bay (SP), I heard they were shutting it down though so hopefully its still open!

Check out the flea market by the stadium where they play the annual NFC vs. AFC football game (forgot the name of the stadium); but they have a lot of good stuff to buy there.

It's actually in the parking lot of the that stadium. check it out though I recommend it.:thumbsup:

check out the military bunker.. forgot what it's called.. fun trip up the stairs..

don't go stray to China town. My buddy and I walked (damn, long walk from our hotel near the Waikiki beach).. that place is da hood.. pretty beat up.

there's another outdoor mall.. forgot the name.. it's nice to walk through.

military museum was cool.

On oahu, you can go to the polonesian culture centre its super fun. And its on the north shore so you could go see some surfing too, allthough winter swells gonna be over and most if any good waves are gonna be hittin the south shores, waikiki and such.

make friends with the locals, they throw good parties. make sure u tell them your canadian . otherwise good luck, they don't like americans much :guns: . that whole turning their islands into a resort thing ..
