I'm thinking about purchasing a used BMW in a private sale. Does anyone know of a good shop I should take it to for an inspection?

That's where i would like to take it however the owner cannot not get it to the shop during their hours of operation.

The seller is a builder and can have it in a shop between the hours of 7:00 or 7:30am or after 6:00pm.

Or is there anyone out there that can check the car for me after hours?

If the guy was serious about the sale, he should be able to fit time in during your hours.
:dunno:

Drop it off at 7am, pay over phone via cc, pickup after work.

The previous owner of mine got mine done at Alpine

Thats a stupid excuse. He can easily drop it at any reputable shop in Calgary, they will do the inspection, fax you a copy, and leave it for him to pick up after he leaves work.

I second that, they were very knowledgeable with older BMW's and any euro car for that matter

did a OOP for about $80 when everywhere else was about $200
