im planning on importing a skyline i just dont know what to buy. I really want a GTR mainly because i love the looks interior and exterior, and the power on tap who cant say no. But i just dont want to spend an ass load on parts. on the other hand a GTS-T would still be a skyline but it would be a little easier on the wallet when it comes to parts. if any one has any helpful info leave a post thank you.

If you can afford a GTR go for it. I own a gts-t right now and am in the process of selling it so I can buy a GTR.

Unless you can get a GTR, don't buy a Skyline. Speaking from experience.

Bottome line. If you can afford a GTR, get one. People who buy GTS-t 's always end up selling them a while after.

I don't know if i agree with that. If you can only afford a gts-t I would totally recomend getting it. But if you can afford a GTR then that should be your first choice. A gts-t is still better than a civic, integra, prelude, gti, or any other fwd car you can buy for around 10 grand.

I think all those cars have things that make them better that the other. I mean, I guess stock vs stock, GTS would be faster but does anyone with those cars keeps them stock?

Good choice on the GTR though!

GTR only.. a gts-t is a tank with a small motor. I have an RB20det in my S13 (much lighter) and it's pretty entertaining, but add the weight of a 'Liner and it wouldn't be so good.

GTR parts cost roughly the same as GTS-t Parts as well.

I dunno about that... a Skyline GTS-T Type M with a boost controller is in the mid 14's or so... pretty fun cars to drive actually.

For a DD I'd rock one.

The only way to beat it would be "I'm So USDM, I Nuked the F*** out of Hiroshima!!"

Neither are very funny.

if u want a quick and fun car, go with the gts-t, if ur more into a faster car, go for the gtr, its just raw power

Hey man I'm not trying to argue here. I know that the syliva is lighter, but I'm just curious as to how much. When my car was shipped over here they weighed it and it tipped that scales at 2860 lbs. From what I've been reading that is not much heavier than a s13. Has anyone on here weighed their stock or near stock s13?

haha yeah, was thinking the same. Hiroshima/Nagasaki.

As someone who has visited the Arizona memorial and is in fact an American citizen, I had to restrain myself a little. While it's funny in a twisted sort of way, it's not what I'd call tasteful.
